Silversun Pickups, the Los Angeles-based alternative rock ensemble, forged their musical journey in the year 2000. Comprising the talents of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester, they embarked on a path that would ultimately leave an indelible mark on the alternative music scene.

The band introduced themselves to the world with their debut EP, "Pikul," in July 2005, followed by their first full-length album, "Carnavas," on July 26, 2006. "Carnavas" set the stage for their distinctive sound, blending elements of shoegaze with heavy, distorted guitars, drawing comparisons to iconic acts like the Smashing Pumpkins and My Bloody Valentine. Singles like "Lazy Eye" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles" from the album climbed the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, solidifying their presence in the alternative rock scene.

"Swoon," their second album, arrived on April 14, 2009, showcasing a diverse range of sounds, from quiet and delicate to powerfully loud. The album received critical acclaim and debuted at No. 7, with the lead single "Panic Switch" earning widespread recognition, even featuring in popular video games like Rock Band and Rocksmith.

With a growing fan base and a reputation for mesmerizing live performances, Silversun Pickups became a festival favorite, gracing the stages of events like the Voodoo Music Experience Festival and Coachella.
