Giveon Biography
Giveon is an American vocalist and songwriter born in 1995. The Los Angeles native would begin sin king at family birthday parties before involving himself in music- related programs during his high school days. Giveon would release his debut single in 2018 and build up a loyal fan base, eventually opening for fellow singer Snoh Aalegra on her tour in 2019.
Giveon would feature prominently on rapper Drake’s song "Chicago Freestyle" in early 2020, and he quickly blew up within the music scene. Later that spring, his debut EP, Take Time, would release to critical acclaim. Giveon would release another EP before his debut album, When It’s All Said and Done... Take Time, in 2021.
Giveon’s first two EPs would peak at #35 and #93 on the Billboard 200 chart, with his debut album peaking at #5 on the same chart and #2 on the R&B chart. "Chicago Freestyle" would earn a double Platinum certification and peak at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Giveon’s breakout solo single, "Heartbreak Anniversary," would earn a double Platinum certification and peak at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Giveon recently featured on the Justin Bieber song "Peaches," which earned a double Platinum certification and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
