Robert Andre Glasper, born on April 6, 1978, is a versatile American musician renowned for his roles as a pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger. His illustrious career has earned him five Grammy Awards and eleven nominations across eight categories, demonstrating his wide-ranging influence on the music industry.

Glasper's breakthrough came with his 2012 album, "Black Radio," reaching number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and winning the Grammy for Best R&B Album. Subsequently, he collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on "To Pimp a Butterfly" and contributed to the soundtrack of the 2015 film "Miles Ahead."

Beyond his solo work, Glasper has co-written and produced for artists like Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, and Herbie Hancock. Notably, his song "A Letter to the Free" earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for the documentary "13th."
